Human Resource Business Partner - Japanese Support

The HR Specialist provides support for a wide variety human resource functions including employee relations, HR reporting, performance and compensation management and benefit administration. The HR Specialist works hand in hand with the HRBP in making sure all managers, supervisors and employees are on the same page with regard to the HR practices to include policies and procedures, the employee handbook and other related legal and regulatory subjects. The position reports to the HR Business Partner and handles all HR administrative functions. This will include executing the full recruitment process, working closely with line managers to identify hiring plans and leading employment branding initiatives. Position maintains employee data and provides HRIS support, acts as contact point for employee queries and works on ad hoc tasks as required.

  • Responsible for general HR functions Develops an understanding of Business Unit(s) culture and structure to effectively partner with and support the organization.
  • Collaborates with HR leadership and Operational functions.
  • Assists HRBP in responding to Employee Relations issues – reviews employee and manager issues and works with HR and business leadership to resolve.
  • Facilitates onboarding and orientation programs and procedures for new employees.
  • Works with HRBP in administers Training & Development opportunities to internal clients.
  • Provides counsel and administrative support for employee life cycle events.
  • Answer questions and provide information to arvato employees; make presentations to employees; investigate employee complaints regarding benefit claims; recommend correction action as necessary to resolve complaints.
  • Administers HRIS and time keeping systems.
  • Administers employee benefit programs.
  • Assists employees with payroll related inquiries.
  • Executing the full recruitment process, working closely with line managers to identify hiring plans and leading employment branding initiatives.
  • Files/organizes confidential employee documents as required.
  • 4-year degree in related field
  • Excellent communication in English and Native level Japanese Communication.
  • Preferably with minimum 1 year similar working experience.
  • Embraces teamwork; shares ideas/methods to improve performance.
  • Demonstrated ability to interact with all levels of employees, management, and internal and external clients.
  • Takes ownership and responsibility for work progress.
  • Conveys relevant information in a candid and timely manner.
  • Ability to make clear and convincing oral presentations to individuals or groups.

  • Technical capabilities (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
